About Jennine Bailey

Jennine Bailey has lead on Social Prescribing and Asset Based Community Development in New Addington and Seldson for 3 years funding by the CCG’s Making Every Contact Count commission. She now Supervises, Coordinates and is on of the Strategic Leads for Croydon Social P’s Social Prescribing project working across several Croydon GP networks since 2017.

Jennine Bailey has lead on Social Prescribing and Asset Based Community Development in New Addington and Seldson for 3 years funding by the CCG’s Making Every Contact Count commission. She now Supervises, Coordinates and is on of the Strategic Leads for Croydon Social P’s Social Prescribing project working across several Croydon GP networks since 2017.

Jennine has been delivering and training on this innovative and proven engagement approach since 2010 and she was one of the first ABCD Community Builders in the UK, supported by Nurture Development and Croydon Council.

She has mentored and coached other Community Builders in areas such as Croydon, Tower Hamlets, Gloucestershire, Thurrock and more and has also delivered ABCD training sessions for commissioners, councils and voluntary sector organisations.

Jennine started out her work as a Community Builder with Croydon Voluntary Action. Her work in the West Croydon Social Recovery initiative developed a movement of citizen-led actions that has been lauded by the Greater London Authority as a huge success. Her work won the Excellence in Community Engagement category in The MJ Local Government Achievement Awards 2014. She lead on developing and training Croydon’s Stop and Search Police on Youth Awareness and Unconscious Bias after the riots in 2011.
